My name is Azamat. I am 28 years old. I’m from Kazakhstan.
I am a special equipment driver. Several months ago I was diagnosed with optic nerve atrophy in my right eye. Visual acuity – 30%, progressive decrease in vision.
In February 2024 I underwent a transplantation of my own stem cells from the bone marrow at the clinic named after Mardaleishvili. Two days before the transplantation, a complete eye examination and laser manipulations were performed. The transplantation itself was successful, without any complications.
After a month and a half after, I noticed that I began to see better. In May, after a full examination by an ophthalmologist, my visual acuity was recorded as 50%, and this result is vital for me.
I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Nana Digmelashvili and the entire medical staff of the clinic Mardaleishvili for their professionalism and I hope for further improvement in vision.

Hello, my name is Gulnara. My son Ilgar is 14 years old and he has amblyopia in the right eye. We live in Baku.
Ilgar underwent a transplantation of his own stem cells for correction of his vision at the Mardaleishvili Medical Clinic in Georgia in October 2023.
The material was taken from the pelvic bone. The isolated stem cells were injected into his right eye, into the orbit and intrathecally.
A month and a half after the transplant, Ilgar complained that he felt uncomfortable wearing the glasses that were prescribed to him before the transplant. After visiting an ophthalmologist, we discovered that his vision in the right eye was 45%, when before the transplant it was only 20%, and in the left eye, vision improved to 100%, and before the transplant it was 80%.
I would like to express my gratitude to the doctors of the clinic of Mardaleishvili, especially Dr. Nana Digmelashvili for her professionalism. In a month and a half after transplantation, we achieved results that we could not have achieved for 12 years of treatment. We hope for further improvement in our son’s vision. Thank you for being!
